I am a graduate of the Library and Information Science program at San José State University. My elective coursework was heavily weighted in cataloging/metadata and information technology. My decision to concentrate on these areas was greatly driven by my personal satisfaction in my job as a classified staff member of a cataloging department and my aptitude for information technology.

As an ALA Spectrum Scholar, I appreciate and support diversity both in our professional workforce and in considering the communities we serve. I have a strong work ethic, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and I am willing to accept new challenges. I am open to pursuing professional opportunities in California, Oregon, and Nevada.

When I'm not at work, you might find me at the gym, walking my dog, or just hanging out with my partner Rick. You can also find me on Delicious, Last.fm, Twitter, Flickr, Good Reads, and Facebook, as I am a proponent of social media and am interested in how libraries can use it wisely and effectively.
